Since its inception, Chapel in the Pines has always embraced the command of Jesus to “go into all the world”. It has incorporated into its vision the words of Jesus: “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest”. This vision has found its fulfillment both in Chapel’s own short term mission outreaches (for example to Mexico, Philippines, Germany etc.) and in its monthly prayer and financial support to a variety of outside missionaries and mission organizations. These outside missions range from “the streets of San Francisco” to remote villages in Africa and Asia. The actual work on the field done by these various missions encompasses a wide variety of ministry: Prison ministry. Youth ministry. Evangelism. Water purification. Education. Orphanages. Bible school. Pregnancy center. Worship and intercession networks. Currently over 25 missionaries or organizations receive partial monthly support in varying amounts. We at Chapel honor and take the work of these various ministries very seriously. In order to assure their confidence, we have not displayed their names on this website. Many of these ministries share first-hand testimonies and portraits of transformation when stateside. Chapel often supports other mission outreaches with one time gifts. (Teen Challenge. YWAM. Voice of Martyrs etc.) If you are interested in learning more about Chapel missions program, please feel free to contact the church office.
