Chapel in the Pines Men’s Group
Our Men’s Group Ministry meets on Sunday Mornings from 8:30am to 9:30am in the Coffee Shop. Prior to the meeting we fellowship, get coffee and doughnuts or other treats. We are a group of men serious about drawing nearer to Christ and each other.
We work on scripture and principles together often while have spirited input on things that catch our interest and hearts.
The number of men who are committed to attending the Men’s Fellowship meetings and to showing up to do service projects says to me that these men are committed enough to put their faith into action, and that the meetings are creating momentum. That is enough for me to want to join in with them. These men are sincerely working to deepen their walk with the Lord and do the work required to follow the teaching of the Bible. I appreciate their commitment to evangelism and works of helps for the needy and study of the scripture. They learn from Bible study and discussion and watching teaching videos. They grow in their effectiveness by the outreaches. They also bond together to the extent that they meet for meals and socializing during the week. These men have a sense of belonging to this group of like-minded pursuers of Christ. The meetings are very engaging, not dry or boring. The men attempt to bring in more men, especially young men. About half of the men are retirement aged, but there are younger men as well, and the younger men are valued and treated with respect and appreciation.
