I grew up in the north Bay Area and attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where my mom was the Youth leader, and later the Parish Worker.  I sang in youth and adult choirs, taught Sunday School, and it was not uncommon for me to attend all 3 Christmas services, Easter services, and both services each Sunday.  I would spend one Sunday service in the nursery with the children, even before I was old enough to be a paid childcare giver.  I already loved being with children.

I attended Santa Rosa J.C. and Sonoma State University where I studied Early Childhood Education and Music Education, respectively.  While in college, I worked teaching preschool at my church’s school, and directed a youth choir at church.

In 1985 I moved to Tuolumne County, and in 1995 met my husband Larry. Yes, there is a bit of a gap in years here…through it all I never stopped loving God, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and He has always loved me.  Larry and I married in 1998.  We knew we wanted to concentrate on raising our family with God in the center and got back to church together prior to our marriage.

We attended a local Lutheran church for about 6 years, then in 2002 began attending Chapel in the Pines.  We became members of Chapel in 2003, and I began working in Children’s Ministries in 2004/2005.  Currently, on Wednesday evenings, I lead a children’s meeting called Kids Kingdom Builders.  This is for children ages 5-12, and focuses on fellowship, character building, and learning about the love of God.  We study Bible stories and verses, play games, and do crafts. I am blessed to be able to spend time with the children.  I thoroughly enjoy, and genuinely love them.

While at Chapel I have led a children’s choir, have been involved with Vacation Bible School, Children’s Church, our Harvest Hoe Down in the fall, Christmas and Easter productions and other dramas, several youth mission trips to Mexico and one to Germany, and am part of Worship, and Women’s Ministries.

I love the Lord, love working with children, love music, and am blessed to be able to serve.
