Ministries

Every one of the ministries at Chapel in the Pines strives to welcome people well. We hope to be an inclusive community that invites participation from those who are exploring church for the first time and others who have a background of church involvement.

Something for Everyone

Chapel in the Pines offers a variety of opportunities to help you get connected. If you would like more information about how you might participate, please contact us and let us know how we can serve you.

Chapel Kids

We love to see Chapel Kids having fun while learning about Jesus and building friendships with one another. Our desire is to help children know Jesus and learn the Bible.

On Sunday mornings childcare is offered for Infants and Preschoolers starting at 10am. School age children will be dismissed to their classes during the service. Chapel Kids classrooms are located downstairs in the main sanctuary. Parents are invited to pick-up their children at the end of the worship service.

Because we recognize that we are a reflection of God’s love to those in our care, we take seriously our responsibility to provide a safe environment for the children who attend Chapel in the Pines. This includes a Child Protection Policy, under which screening of all teachers and workers takes place. For more information, please click here.

Worship

Chapel in the Pines purposes to provide engaging Biblical worship. We desire to bring glory to God in our gatherings through musical worship, prayer, Bible teaching and encouraging one another to live like Jesus. Our church culture is a casual, come-as-you-are kind of place and none of us believes we’re perfect. It is our desire to keep growing as we worship the One True God.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. – Hebrews 12:28

Women's Bible Study

We meet on Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:30 upstairs in the Old Chapel building. There is always hot coffee/tea, warm hearts, and welcoming smiles to greet you. God’s Word comes to life for us as we walk through the scriptures, using study guides and videos, seeking to apply Bible principles to our everyday lives. The connections are rich, reaching far beyond our one hour study. It is not unusual to find us connecting during the week for fellowship and encouragement.

Our group is a welcoming place for women of all ages to grow in faith, share God’s love, deepen our daily walk and prayer life, and enjoy meaningful and vibrant conversations. Whether you are new to Bible study or have been walking with Jesus for many years, you will find a comfortable, loving place at our table.

Men's Bible Study

We meet on Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:30 in the Higher Grounds coffeeshop (lower level of the Old Chapel building). Together we explore the Bible and how it applies to our lives in discussion over coffee and donuts.

Our gathering is a welcoming place for men of all ages to grow in faith, explore Biblical truth and enjoy good friendship. Whether you are new to church or have been a Christian for a long time, you will find a comfortable, friendly community.

Missions

From the beginning, Chapel in the Pines has been passionate about missions, fully embracing Jesus’ call to “go into all the world”. We believe that both global and local mission efforts are important in the life of a healthy church. Chapel has participated in short term mission outreaches to Mexico, Philippines, Germany and others. With ongoing prayer and financial support, we encourage a variety of missionaries and mission organizations from the streets of San Francisco to remote villages in Africa and Asia. The work of these various missions encompasses a wide variety of ministry. Chapel also supports other mission ventures with one-time gifts. If you are interested to learn more about Chapel mission program, please feel free to contact the church office.
